No Weigh Day
January 1 is our International No Weigh Day. For 2020 we are asking if you will join with us to bring an end to the toxicity of diet culture?
1 in 5 teenage girls has a mental illness associated with disordered eating. And an estimated 120 million women worldwide have an eating disorder.
This has to STOP.
We are asking grrrls worldwide to join with us in a campaign to make the change needed to bring an end to diet culture and its impact on us and our future generations of female leaders. Bringing it to an end, starts with us. So, to stand with us, we ask two things:
1. Pledge below to make 2020 the year that you will not weigh yourself*.
2. Join with us in filling social media with images and videos of scale smashing, to start the conversation with your own friends, family and network. Use the campaign hashtag #noweighday so we can share your content, and reach as many people as possible.
We can be the ones that made the change.
*we know that there are times this year where some of us will need to use scales (for competition or contests or for health reasons) but you can still make your pledge below to not use scales as part of a diet regime.
